Urea is an important component of the skin's natural moisturizing factor (NMF), which is essential in maintaining a healthy and hydrated skin barrier. In cosmetic products, urea is most commonly found as an ingredient in lotions and body creams, thanks to its unique combination of moisturizing and exfoliating properties. In higher concentrations, this product reduces the build-up of dead cells on the surface layer of the skin and is therefore an ideal partner in the care of very dry and rough cracked skin, including psoriasis. In our Amare products, we have relied on a high concentration of urea, precisely because it has an antifungal effect and penetrates deeply, nourishing the skin and nails.
